At St Cecilia, one could set with matching Handel's Ode for a fixed a worthy counterpoint, but I opt for another piece, which is for me the most beautiful pearls of Handel's oeuvre : The aria Ombre, piante, urne funeste in which Rodelinda at the monument of her dead husband Bertarido believed its action can run free - a wonderful lament!
